KAITLYN WYLAND

Hi, I'm Kaitlyn Wyland. I live in Pennsylvania.  I graduated from Messiah University  with a major in Digital Media: Game Design and Mobile App Development concentration.

I currently work as a web developer at WebFX in Harrisburg

​

I had never touched any code before I began my college journey. The first two programming courses I took I did not enjoy and thought maybe I had chosen the wrong major. One summer I began to play around with Unity. I still did not like coding so the first project I ever made was done through an online course that gave me all of the scripts that I needed. During that project I began to experiment with coding to make it my own. Since then my role in developing games when I'm on a team is mostly writing all of the code. I also enjoy doing level design.

Aside from working on games I also enjoy working on the server side of websites. Things like connecting websites to databases and using forms to enter new information into the database, and displaying information from the database on the website.

My major has given me a wide range of experience in different digital fields. I have taken classes ranging from web development both client and server side, and database courses to color and design, typography, and sound design.
